How to Configure Account Localization Settings

This document explains how to configure account localization settings, including email notification language and numbers and date format.

What you can configure

You can configure:

  • Email notifications language

  • Numbers and date format

Email notification language

Use Email notification language to set the default language for emails sent to new or unregistered recipients. This setting affects recipient emails only, including invitations, reminders, and other envelope-related messages. DocStudio uses this language by default unless another language is selected at the template, envelope, or Quick Send level.

Configure email notification language

  1. Open the Admin panel.

  2. Open Account settings.

  3. Find the Recipient experience section.

  4. In Email notification language, select the default language for recipient emails.

  5. Save the changes.

The selected language becomes the default recipient email language for the account.

The email notification language is different from your DocStudio interface language. It defines the language used in email messages sent to recipients.

Numbers and date format

Use Numbers and date format to set how recipients see dates and numbers in emails and in the recipient interface. This setting defines the account default and helps keep regional formatting consistent unless another format is selected later at the template or envelope level.

Configure numbers and date format

  1. Open the Admin panel.

  2. Open Account settings.

  3. Find the Recipient experience section.

  4. In Numbers and date format, select the regional format.

  5. Save the changes.

DocStudio shows an example under the field, so you can check the format before saving.

Examples of regional formatting:

  • 12/31/2026

  • 31.12.2026

  • 1,000.50

  • 1 000,50

Default language for new self-registered users

For new self-registered users, DocStudio uses the language selected during registration as the default Email notifications language. If DocStudio cannot detect the browser language, it uses English as the fallback language. If the detected browser language is Russian, DocStudio uses Ukrainian instead.

Company account behavior

When a company account creates corporate users, they inherit localization settings from the company account. This includes:

  • Email notifications language

  • Numbers and date format

Corporate users can keep these inherited settings or change them later. For example, if the company account uses Dutch as the Email notifications language, corporate users created in that account receive DocStudio email notifications in Dutch by default.
