​What Happens When a Mailbox Is Deleted?

This document explains what happens after a mailbox is deleted, including access loss, UI behavior, and error responses.

What happens after deletion

1. A deleted mailbox cannot be restored.

2. The mailbox disappears from the mailbox list in the admin panel.

3. If a user tries to use a deleted mailbox:

   • the app returns error 410

   • the user is redirected to the first mailbox they can access

   • if the user has no mailbox access, they are redirected to User profile

In this state, only profile and admin pages remain available (if the user has access to any account).
