# How to Delegate an Envelope Manually

### How to send an envelope for delegation

1. Open an envelope that is in the **Waiting** status.
2. Click the **Delegate** <img src="/files/5QR4hCpaGC656ro4ABAk" alt="" data-size="line"> icon in the envelope header.
3. In the dialog, select the delegate mailbox by name, UUID, alias, or email.
4. Click the <img src="/files/sFJTVbrU62l0cu5oJjic" alt="" data-size="line"> button.

The envelope is sent to the selected delegate mailbox.

### Cancel delegation

You can cancel delegation if the delegate has not completed their step yet.

1. Open the processing flow window.
2. Click the <img src="/files/yPI3ucQN0P28cFYWoouA" alt="" data-size="line"> button.

### Notes and limitations

* The **Delegation** button appears only for mailboxes with the delegation permission.
* You cannot delegate a role to a mailbox that already participates in that role.
