# How to Set a Default Mailbox

This document explains how to set a default mailbox for envelopes sent by email.

Set a default mailbox to control which mailbox DocStudio uses for new envelopes sent by email. This saves time if you work with several mailboxes.

### Set a default mailbox

If you have only one mailbox, DocStudio uses it automatically as the default mailbox for new envelopes.

1. Open **Menu** in the top-right corner.
2. Select **User profile**.
3. Find the **Default mailbox** field.
4. Select the mailbox you want to set as default.

DocStudio uses this mailbox by default for new envelopes sent by email until you change this setting again.
