This document explains how to configure recipient experience settings in a template, including email notification language, time zone, and date and number format.
Recipient experience settings define how recipients receive and view envelopes created from a template. Configure these settings in the template to keep the same default experience across every envelope created from it.
In the Recipient experience section, you can configure:
Email notification language
Time zone
Date and number format
The Email notification language setting controls the language of emails sent to new or unregistered recipients, including envelope invitations, reminders, and other envelope-related messages. This setting affects email notifications only.
By default, templates use Inherit from sender account. This means that DocStudio uses the email notification language from the sender account. You can also select a specific language for the template. In that case, envelopes created from this template use that language by default.
The Time zone setting controls which time zone recipients see in date and time values inside the envelope. Use it to keep deadlines, timestamps, and other recipient-facing values consistent in every envelope created from this template.
The Date and number format setting controls how dates and numbers are displayed to recipients. Use it to set a consistent format for values such as dates, decimals, and separators in every envelope created from this template.
Open the template in edit mode.
Open the Template tab.
Find the Recipient experience section.
Click the edit icon.
Configure the required settings:
Email notification language
Time zone
Date and number format
Save the changes.

If Inherit from sender account is selected, DocStudio uses the sender account settings when an envelope is created from this template.
When an envelope is created from the template, DocStudio applies the recipient experience settings from the template. The sender can still change these settings while the envelope remains in draft.
After the envelope is sent, recipient experience settings can no longer be changed.
