# How to Add or Edit Initials

### Create or replace initials

Use initials when a document or template requires an initials field instead of a full signature.

1. Open your **User profile**.
2. Click **Add initials**. If you already have initials, click **Replace initials**.
3. Draw your initials in the dialog.
4. Click the <img src="/files/RgL0aTG9n3mbziwmAyeI" alt="" data-size="line"> button.
5. Click the <img src="/files/MIf3kGuDP0cGnUuX4l1p" alt="" data-size="line"> button.

The initials are saved in your user profile.
